Reforming the FBI
Has today’s FBI become America’s:
___ Stassi
___ KBG
___ Gestapo
___ Ministry of State Security (China)
With greater regularity Americans are drawing comparisons between the FBI and communist and fascist secret police organizations and for good reason – the FBI is performing more like these organizations.
The latest example (at the time of writing) involves a pro-life leader in Pennsylvania who experienced a pre-dawn raid on his house and arrest last Friday morning. He is accused of pushing an elderly man who was harassing his 12-year old son at a pro-life rally outside an abortion mill.
The man has no record of violence, but reports state 25-30 jack booted thugs, with 15 vehicles and automatic weapons drawn took part in the raid. The man’s family, including a slew of young children were traumatized. Hopefully, Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray awarded the agents medals for their heroic actions.
On reading about the Saturday arrest of pro-life activist Mark Houck, I thought the author at this alternative site had to be exaggerating. It struck me as beyond belief that two dozen or so armed FBI agents would swarm the house of a Catholic father of seven, rifles drawn, and arrest him in front of his weeping children for anything short of murder.
I have had to recalibrate my belief system. The “crime” fell quite a bit short of murder. On October 13, 2021, Houck brought his 12-year-old son with him for his weekly sidewalk counseling outside of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Philadelphia. A volunteer escort at the abortion clinic reportedly called Houck’s son a “fag” among other insults and threatened him. Houck pushed the man away from his son, and the man fell. Houck, the founder of an organization that promotes Christian virtue among men, was not charged with a crime.
However petty the incident, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, had Houck seized at gunpoint nearly a year later and bragged about the arrest. Said PR hack Jennifer Crandall in a press release, Houck “assaulted a man because he was a volunteer reproductive health care clinic escort.”
Before proceeding, this sentence needs parsing. The most problematic word is “because.” Houck has had hundreds of opportunities to assault escorts if their offense in his eyes was to be an escort. Although the press release claims two incidents on that same day with the man, Houck had no prior or subsequent altercations.
The week before, Mike Lindell (My Pillow guy) was surrounded by cars full of FBI agents at a Hardee’s on his way back from a hunting trip in Minnesota. Again, a case of overkill.
Merrick Garland is the most partisan Attorney General in our nation’s history, worse even than Eric Holder. He aggressively protects deep-state and the Democratic Party and ruthlessly persecutes opposition. Absolute protection is given to Planned Parenthood and teachers’ unions. He branded parents who speak up at school board meetings as “domestic terrorists.” At the same time, he refuses to protect Supreme Court justices or take serious action against leftists who damage pregnancy care centers or churches
Is it necessary to sent 25-30 armed agents to arrest a father whose most dangerous weapon is his rosary? Is it necessary to send a dozen agents to apprehend Mike Lindell?
No, but Merrick Garland has taken a page out of Heinrich Himmler’s book – siccing the secret police on the opposition. The overkill in sending agents is meant as a means of intimidating opponents of the Biden Regime – keep quiet and obey or you’ll have 30 jack booted thugs breaking down your door at 5 AM.

What we know about the man who got Mark Houck arrested
As it turns out, B.L. filed a complaint against Houck in Philadelphia Municipal Court soon after the October 13, 2021, incident. That charge was recently dismissed because B.L. did not show up for the hearings. Houck did.
…
B.L. has some familiarity with Philadelphia courts. In the 1970s he was arrested on multiple charges related to possession and manufacturing of controlled substances. The three charges were pled down to a single change and B.L. was sentenced to three years of probation. He was also charged with “disorderly conduct persistent.” As the attorney who helped me navigate Pennsylvania court dockets observed, “Poetic that the first important thing on the ACCUSER’s docket is ‘WARRANT OUTSTANDING.’”

Luke Gromen says that Western sovereign debt problems are coming to a head already. He says the Fed is likely to NOT raise rates at the Nov 1-2 meeting.

He says the Fed is likely to NOT raise rates at the Nov 1-2 meeting.
The assumption here is that the FED is not purposely out to cause as much damage to the FX markets as possible for their own reasons. I can’t stop thinking about the speculation I read the other day about the FED breaking away from coordinating with the ECB last year.
[9]
Proof we are living in clown world. The Bank of England just announced it is following the Bank of Japan and European Central Bank to introduce unlimited Quantitative Easing while simultaneously raising interest rates. Akin to driving with both your feed firmly pressed on the gas and brake pedals at night with your lights turned off on an icy road — who knows where things end up.
Of course, the FED will likely have to do this as well so that the US Government can pay the higher interest rates as the lower interest rate debt rolls over.

“Of course, the FED will likely have to do this as well so that the US Government can pay the higher interest rates as the lower interest rate debt rolls over.”
Keeping in mind that USG only gets $3Tn/annum. Every tick up in 10yr treasury rates eats into current expenditures having to go service the interest only on the debt. So services decrease to make up the difference or USG floats more debt in a snowball effect that finally ends up as ReischMarks.

As a rule I do not make ill of people who have cognitive issues. Its not their fault. Fault lies with Jill Biden, she knew better than have her husband be running for or being POTUS. F her. Seen on the Internet:
Florida’s Governor is a Republican.
The current President is a Democrat.
What this means is that anything and everything bad that happens is the Governor’s fault.
With Hurricane Katrina, the President was a Republican, but the LA Governor was a Democrat, so it was the President’s fault even though the worst response by a political office holder at the was that of a Democrat Mayor.
These are the rules.

24, wow.
I thought the Luke Gromen prediction of no hike at the Fed’s Nov meeting was a bit out there. But these BoE shenanigans puts the prediction on more solid ground, in my view.
“If there was no intervention today, gilt yields could have gone up to 7-8 per cent from 4.5 per cent this morning and in that situation around 90 per cent of UK pension funds would have run out of collateral… They would have been wiped out.”
Well, OK, ZH can be a bit “hair on fire” … nonetheless, my spidey-sense is starting to tingle …
[28]
I thought the Luke Gromen prediction of no hike at the Fed’s Nov meeting was a bit out there.
If the markets continue to rally on the QE news from the BOE, this will just give Powell and the FED more justification to raise rates again in early November.
It seems the market is assuming that all the central banks are coordinating with each other and if the BOE has launched a new round of QE, then the FED can’t be too far behind. However, there is a chance the FED is going off-script and will do exactly what Powell says the FED is going to do — raise the FED funds rate to around 4.5%

Not to take anything away from desantis…..
There is a national emergency plan agreed to by the telcos & utility companies for such events. The trucks would be there and rolling regardless of desantis. FP&L and Verizon will be picking up the tab. The arrangement is like lend lease. The effected area providers only pick up the net costs for labor & material.
No govt came up with this. Strictly a private enterprise arrangement.

Apparently just the city of Berlin, not nation wide in Germany.
Still, there could be consequences–
The prospect of re-running the country’s general election will no doubt leave many politicians in the country displeased, with the city’s satisfaction for the country’s ruling leftist coalition, in particular, having fallen significantly since last year’s poll.
According to polling commissioned by the Berliner Morgenpost, while support for the German Green party is up slightly as of last week, the number of voters willing to put their ballots behind the leftist Social Democratic Party and the liberal Free Democratic Party has fallen significantly.
Meanwhile, both the centrist Christian Democratic Union and the populist Alternative for Germany have seen significant growth in support in the city, likely as a result of the current government’s chronic mismanagement of the ongoing energy crisis, which could see many unable to properly heat their homes over the winter months.
